The Mission

“At first you might find that nothing happens there.

But if you have a sacred space and use it, eventually something will happen.

Your sacred space is where you find yourself again and again.”

~Joseph Campbell

We created Movement, Medicine, and Magic to:

~offer tools for connecting to the wisdom of embodiment & expand practice possibilities

~serve sustainability of the body for the love of movement as well as daily life

~connect to and through the universal power of dance

~celebrate our humanness, the power of play & curiosity in the path of life

~help you design a personal alchemy of practices for your current life flow

~recalibrate old patterns and habits of body and mind

~share tools that have worked for us to rewire our neurology and rewrite core beliefs

~cultivate presence, resilience, and collective accountability to be our ever-evolving best!

Dance ~ and play ~ are two of the most universal human activities.

For millennia, dance has been the way to connect within, connect with community, and honor life transitions. Rhythm is intrinsic to life itself, and play helps us be adaptable and open to new experiences.

The hoop has been, for us, a great teacher of rhythm and dance as meditation. It invites us to play, to stay curious, and like all dance ~ to stay adaptable to the changing moment.

The hoop is, for us, a tool of release, integration, and never-ending discovery.

Yoga is a state of being, reached through many paths.

There is growing research into the state of ‘flow,’ of peak performance and insight that comes from these states of awareness.

Yoga has come to us as a practice that helps make these states more accessible. Yoga can be any awareness practice, not just postures.

We will explore the roots of embodied yoga practice and the movement alchemy of Prana Vinyasa Yoga, as well as tools to cultivate balance in the body as well as the mind.

There’s more than one map of embodiment.

To EMBODY:: to give form to; express, personify, or exemplify in concrete form; to incarnate; to collect, incorporate, include in a body; to embrace or comprise.

Embodiment is the practice of integrating our knowledge into our lives in real, tangible and meaningful ways.

With the world in the throes of massive change before our very eyes, embodiment practices can help us stay centered and positive, offering a port in the storm when feeling challenged by the many choices inherent in our day to day lives.

We are excited to share with you tools that have worked for us over many years: movement, meditation, and reflection practices that support us living fully alive, awake, and in our most authentic, centered self.
