Michelle Nayeli

Michelle ‘Nayeli’ Bouvier is a Prana Vinyasa™ Yoga Teacher Trainer, Certified Yoga Therapist, Hoopdance pioneer, AcroYoga Teacher, Thai Massage Practitioner and dancer devoted to the art and science of embodiment (definitely a body nerd!). Teaching everywhere since 2000, Michelle has accumulated nearly 4000 hours of training, specializing in sustainability and resilience of the body, mind, and heart.

Grateful for her many teachers, Michelle has been most influenced by her depth of training with Shiva Rea, Tias Little, John Friend, and Tim Miller (yoga), Christopher Wallis and Christopher Tompkins (Tantrik philosophy and practice), Frey Faust, Gil Hedley, and Tom Meyers (anatomy and movement). Michelle continues to study Ayurveda and The Axis Syllabus (a lexicon of principles derived from anatomy, physics, and biomechanics, which teach safety, efficiency, and sustainability- applicable to all human movement).

Michelle has always been on the inquiring edge. She’s helped create Hoop Vinyasa℠ (online on Yoga Alchemy) and Mandala Vinyasa: Circular Yoga, and is a revolutionary voice bringing Tantrik roots of embodied yoga together with modern movement science. Michelle’s mission is to inspire living in rhythm with Nature, and to liberate us from linear ideas of yoga asana and movement training ~ because our bodies are made of curves, not straight lines!

In love at first spin in 2006 (Anah was her very first teacher!), Nayeli remains in awe of the hoop’s capacity to transform emotions, empower our authentic selves, and open up new pathways of movement expression and awareness.

Anah aka Hoopalicious

Over the last 20 years, Anah has performed and taught the art of Hoop Dance. On its face, hoop dance looks like merely a visual art. Underneath the sparkly facade, Hoop Dance is a deeply transformative practice.

Fueled by insights from the hoop and her own innate curiosity about spirituality and transformation, Anah became her own research scientist. Having struggled with depression her whole life, the art of fulfillment and happiness became her chief pursuit. It may have looked like she was just simply hooping her heart out, but really… She was STUDYING. Studying the inner workings of her mind, spirit and of life itself. This pursuit was at times rocky, at other times illuminating and continues to this day. This passion for studying the heights and depths of life branched out beyond hoop dance into too many modalities to count and is truly the underlying fabric of her being.

Anah’s highest joy is to use all she has learned from life, hundreds of books, numerous seminars, deep dives into transformative experience and immersion in the Co-active Coaching Certification course to help others find fulfillment. Oh, and beyond that, Anah’s real favorite thing is a well-timed inappropriate joke that serves to lighten us all the f up. ha!
